Options For The Marriage License for San Diego Beach Weddings.

And what about that pesky marriage license?

When you're planning to Elope to San Diego,
you'll need a marriage license to keep things legal.

Sometimes it's nearly impossible to get your license for a  San Diego wedding ceremony
at the San Diego Courthouse locations without a long wait and an appointment.

We wanted to let you know there are a couple of other options available to you.

If you are purchasing a public marriage license, you can do that from any county office in California, and then use the marriage license in any county in the State of California!

There is a another type of license, called a "confidential marriage license".  With that license the ceremony MUST be performed in the county it is purchased in, so if you travel to Orange County, be sure to get the "public" license, if you're planning on using it here in San Diego county.
(The confidential license is 5.00 more and no witness is needed-
but remember, it can only used in the county it was purchased in)

So here's option #1

If you have the time, you can drive about 75 miles north from San Diego to Orange County
Yippee!!!
You don't need an appointment.

The closest
marriage license office in Orange County is located in Laguna Hills.

 Laguna Hills Civic Center
24031 El Toro Road
Suite 150
Laguna Hills, CA  92653   9-4

more information: 714.834.2500

Info for the other Orange County License Locations: Santa Ana and  Fullerton   here

And option # 2:
We also work with a local notary who is authorized by San Diego county.  She works by appointment to issue licenses here in San Diego.  Once you've made reservations with us, we can put you in touch with her.

Once you have your license, you're all set to Elope with us, the rest is a snap.

"Elope San Diego" wedding celebration tonight with Lisa and Mark

elope san diego, family style elopement ceremony, photography by christine haslet, elope to san diego

A perfect little wedding for Lisa and Mark and their family on Coronado Beach.

Sunset and sand castles..

Congrats and thanks for the fun sunset wedding, your kids are great..
but then we're sure you already knew that.

In the dog rescue department, off to Seattle this week to visit family and to deliver a rescued dog to his new family! Cynthia from Mill Creek is adopting this darling little guy I pulled from the shelter this week.  He's flying with me in the morning.
Reminds me of a Walt Disney movie like Lady and the Tramp!
We were calling him lil' red, but we think he has a brand new name to go with
his brand new home.  I hope he likes the rain.
