for a Winter Elope Wedding !

Oh, did we mention it's sunny and 70 in San Diego...

as many parts of the country dig out from a huge snow storm?

Yvonne and Randy eloped with us and it was a perfect in every way.
They traveled away from mountains of snow and ice to tie the knot.

We found a special bond with them because they too, work
together as a couple every day.
They are a fantastic real estate team at Howard/Hanna

Working together is something most couples don't even attempt :)

we were laughing the other day because
one of our colleagues told a bride that

Some of the basic information to get: types of identification needed, cost of marriage license, hours of operation of the licensing location, blood work that might be needed, waiting periods, any residency requirements, witnesses, type of officiant needed to solemnize the wedding, how is the marriage license recorded and how you receive your copy of that record. Once you've got that covered, you can begin to think about what other services might need. Be sure and double check exactly what services are offered when you pay for your elopement package. Double check what you'll need and what is actually included and provided for you. Typically, you are responsible for your own airline tickets, hotels, rings and attire. However there are some all inclusive packages available that include the kitchen sink airline and hotels. It seems there are as many types of elopement packages and options as there are couples. If you choose with your heart, choosing the options that give you comfort and peace of mind, you'll have a wedding day you'll always treasure.

Whew....August, come and gone before we could even get our monthly update posted !

So many great couples found their way to us this month and we are happy to say we had a super fun month with all the couples who eloped on Coronado beach with ElopeSanDiego.com

We want to celebrate with one of our favorite couples who have been married 40 years! Nick and Bobbi Erocline........................................................................................................................who the heck are Nick and Bobbi

you ask? They just happen to be the darling couple who grace the cover of the original Woodstock album cover. We attached their photos here as inspiration for the incurable romantics amongst us.

The middle of the month found us lucky enough to be able to support the incredible work of

Helen Woodward Animal Center by attending their dog super fun surfing workshops in Del Mar with our dogs. In preparations for the BIG Surf Competition held later in September.

Both dogs, Daphne and Riley were able to ride a surf board after much coaxing. It was really fun to be a part of, and such a great cause.

Since we are dog crazy....we also added a pet friendly wedding section to our website: ElopeSanDiego.com On the new page are a couple of suggestions for pet friendly hotels in San Diego and Coronado as well as the dog parks where we have done elopement ceremonies. Having your beloved pet at your wedding can add an extra element of surprise and fun, but then you probably figured that out already on your own.

On a personal note, Christine celebrated her birthday on the 26th, she is no longer married to an older man Steve, but a man her exact same age!

We're off to float the Colorado River, a bike ride in Moab, horseback riding in Bryce canyon and wander aimlessly in Zion National park with our dogs and cat in tow. A much earned vacation. Wish us luck...
