Beach weddings San Diego

Whew....August, come and gone before we could even get our monthly update posted !

So many great couples found their way to us this month and we are happy to say we had a super fun month with all the couples who eloped on Coronado beach with ElopeSanDiego.com

We want to celebrate with one of our favorite couples who have been married 40 years! Nick and Bobbi Erocline........................................................................................................................who the heck are Nick and Bobbi you ask? They just happen to be the darling couple who grace the cover of the original Woodstock album cover. We attached their photos here as inspiration for the incurable romantics amongst us.

The middle of the month found us lucky enough to be able to support the incredible work of

Helen Woodward Animal Center by attending their dog super fun surfing workshops in Del Mar with our dogs. In preparations for the BIG Surf Competition held later in September.

Both dogs, Daphne and Riley were able to ride a surf board after much coaxing. It was really fun to be a part of, and such a great cause.

Since we are dog crazy....we also added a pet friendly wedding section to our website: ElopeSanDiego.com On the new page are a couple of suggestions for pet friendly hotels in San Diego and Coronado as well as the dog parks where we have done elopement ceremonies. Having your beloved pet at your wedding can add an extra element of surprise and fun, but then you probably figured that out already on your own.

On a personal note, Christine celebrated her birthday on the 26th, she is no longer married to an older man Steve, but a man her exact same age!

We're off to float the Colorado River, a bike ride in Moab, horseback riding in Bryce canyon and wander aimlessly in Zion National park with our dogs and cat in tow. A much earned vacation. Wish us luck...

June (Love is in the Air)

The month of June found us to be super busy... it began with Christine's trip to Seattle. She spoke at Seattle Professional Photographers Association... on the hottest day of the year for Seattle... it was 90 degrees!..
Christine also had the opportunity to visit with our muse...our mentor.. Dee Miller. Dee is 80 now, and we have her to thank for helping get started back in the 1980's with all of the wonderful weddings we've done over the years. It was wonderful to see her, catch up and meet her gorgeous dog, Daisy. She is our inspiration for our ElopeSanDiego.com

We celebrate OUR 22 nd wedding anniversary this month! We took a little time off and just for fun we attended a fundraiser for PAWS over the weekend of June 13th and had great time, this was the third year we've supported their efforts. We even managed to win tickets for Spamalot in the silent auction. We LOVE the great work that PAWS does for our community.

Gotta run, put on the sun screen and get down to the beach for another fun day with one of our couples! TTFN (ta ta for now!)

Welcome to the inaugural issue of the ElopeSanDiego.com blog-

We say thanks to the thousands of brides and grooms that we have worked with over the last twenty two years.

Wow!! We have the best job on the planet! Being part of a happy celebration that joins couples together. Christine and Steve have worked together for over twenty years with couples on their happiest day. Christine photographed her first wedding in 1987 in Seattle and 1500 couples later, she still thrives on the excitement. Today she works on the very beach she spent her honeymoon.. although it took twenty years to get back. Steve officiated at his first wedding in 1988 and has performed over 2000 weddings since. Together, their travels have taken them throughout western Washington state to such locations as the Space Needle, Safeco field, the cockpit of a 737, hot air balloons, mountain tops and many, many backyards.

In 2006 after living in Seattle for 25 years (and growing weary of that NW weather), we moved to sunny southern California, settling down in San Diego. San Diego was a place we had vacationed and loved for many years. Without missing a beat, the California beach became our new "office". We started our little company called ElopeSanDiego.com . We do most all of our weddings on the public beach out behind the Hotel Del. ElopetoCoronadoBeach.com is also our domain. Our Linked-in profile is at linkedin.com/elopesandiego

Since our arrival in San Diego, we have helped over 500 couples have the most beautiful elopement ceremony right on Coronado Beach. Our weddings ceremonies are amazing, affordable and memorable. We include the photography, the flowers, the ceremony and the parking. We offer a low stress, low drama, affordable alternative for couples who travel from all over the world to be married here in San Diego.
