Last night we had the pleasure of marrying Jessica and Heath, 
as they decided to "Elope To San Diego" with us...actually the wedding ceremony was held on Coronado Beach just a few minutes from downtown San Diego.

Steve and I are still amazed, no flabbergasted at what we see weekly at our tiny elopement ceremonies on the beach.  One would think that because couples are choosing to only have a select few friends and family at their ceremony... all would go well.

Busy week for us, and we still managed to take the day off to celebrate our anniversary. June 20 it is.  Twenty six years together. 

Maybe you didn't know, but most all of our years together, we have performed and photographed wedding ceremonies for other couples.

And when we're not mixing it up at a wedding with pups, we are busy with our non profit 501c3 dog rescue that we founded a couple of years back. Lucky Pup Dog Rescue!   We rescue dogs off of death row in the county about a 100 miles north of San Diego where they kill 8 out of ten dogs after just a few days.  

Here is a picture of Checkers, he was so sad, it was his last day at the shelter and he was covered in ticks.  We rescued him and now he's all ready to be adopted!  He's about 20 lbs, neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, SUPER loveable and snuggly. He gets along great with other dogs and cats.  We don't know about children, probably children over 6.   He is here in San Diego with us, we have an application on our rescue website:  www.LuckyPupDogRescue.com, a home visit and a min tax deductible donation of $200 to cover his vet and help us to save more pups.

We can always use Costco cards for food, foster homes, 

and tax deductible donations :)

 Being married for 21 years is REALLY something
to celebrate these days! 

Detty and Jimmy did just that with us on Coronado Beach this week.  They traveled from Arizona with their children and a few friends to renew their vows with us.   A mini vacation with a grand celebration!    A ceremony with all the trimmings.  

They got to say all those sweet words to each other from their hearts...share their thoughts and sentiments that some times are lost in the day to day rush of living.

We created a beautiful family portrait... and a wonderful Christmas card photo to boot!

Amy and Justin's Wedding Last Night! 

Great night for a sunset elope wedding.... everything was perfect, I wanted to share this because after doing thousands of weddings, it's always fun to see something brand new. 

 

 

This is the darling little bouquet I made last night, with flowers from my garden, Amy brought these two little charms-- with tiny black and white photos.... they are her grandparents from both sides... what a wonderful idea and unique way to honor them.

Five Couples Say "I DO!" this weekend with Elope San Diego!

It was beyond beautiful this weekend on Coronado Beach, we don't mind telling you we were a little worried with all of the rain the past few days.  As luck would have it, all FIVE of our eloping couples had amazing weather. 


 Alisa and Evan traveled all the way from Rhode Island, leaving mountains of snow behind.  We had a couple of couples from LA,  and of course, a few our local San Diego couples.

We're Loving Our Winter Weddings !

it always reminds of how lucky we are to live in San Diego!
When we see the weather report around the country,
we can't help but feel blessed to live and work in such a beautiful part of country.

Couples always ask us about the weather, of course we can't predict the weather, but know that we do have a backup plan for rain, but in the seven years, we've only been to the gazebo in Spreckles Park a few times. 
It's just a few blocks from the beach. 
Sometimes depending upon scheduling, we can even wait out a cloud burst. 

San Diego is such a great place to ELOPE and honeymoon anytime of the year.  Affordable and low stress, sunny and warm.... perfect!

THIS COUPLE HAS BEEN MARRIED 88 YEARS!!    ohmy!

Eighty-eight years after getting married, a Chinese couple have finally gotten their wedding photos taken -- and they're still smiling.

Cameras were scarce in China in 1924, when Wu Conghan, 101, and wife Wu Sognshi, 103, tied the knot, so they have no photos from their big day. But nearly nine decades later, they re-created the happiness of the event.
