Just Received ANOTHER Cease and Desist email from the "A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING" folks...

photo by ren daversa on our 20th anniversary.
we hired "a beautiful wedding" for our vow renewal

Apparently, one can't use the phrase~
a beautiful wedding ~
in the San Diego area without receiving a nasty
Cease and Desist letter from a local attorney.
Cause that's just what happened to us.

And just today, we got another email !
Petty as it is, we apparently missed a
coupla those pesky "B" words
that were too close to the "W" words.
Seems it happened when we were cleaning house
on all of our websites.
Shame on us.

And now they report they even have proof
of a "potential confused client"
because the poor confused thing saw that dang "B"
word next to the word "wedding"  on our website.
And it could only mean ONE THING, we are trying to steal business.
Poor thing, I hope that between the two of them were able to help her out
and guide her out of her confusion.

Our esteemed colleague
and her newly hired attorney must have
nothing better to do than to count the
"B" words that are too close to the "W"
words on our website, blog and FB pages....
It's actually kind of sad.

We also received a thinly veiled threat suggesting that
  we can't talk about
this petty and ridiculous experience on
our very own blog and FB page.

Pretty sure, that Lawyer 101 says that consumers have
every right to speak of their experiences if they are TRUTHFUL.
So far we've haven't told a single fib. No fibs here!
Pretty sure we can talk about this experience any place we choose.
Especially on our own blog and FB pages and in light of the fact
that we have been clients of this business.

If ridiculous harassment doesn't end soon,
over the use of "B" adjective too close the "W" word...
we will take the the internet sites that provide an forum
to tell people about their experiences
with the people they've done business with.
In any case,  we've been busy as a bee, removing  those references,
to those words they feel they own.
And now we'll be using the words SPECTACULAR,
AMAZING, DELIGHTFUL, LOVELY, DIVINE,
RAVISHING, DAZZLING instead of the "B" word.

Note to self:  don't ever put the "B" too close the "W" word.

PS
Thank you, Ren Daversa for the lovely photo
of us that you took back in 2007,
when you performed our 20 year reaffirmation.
I won't mention your business by name,
or send you any more referrals for bigger,
fancy weddings people call us about all the time.
I use to send them over to you, but those days are gone.

We absolutely LOVE that OUR clients because they
don't fuss with all the chairs, permits, decorations and drama.
We hope from the bottom of our hearts,
that by removing those pesky little words
that your business really takes off now....

PS here's another person who is using

http://www.a-beautiful-wedding.com/
not to mention the
http://beautifulweddings.com.au/packages/

or the 136 other listings here in San Diego...
for the same search phrase.
You might want to have your attorney get to work
on these people who are also creating "customer confusion",
and stealing your business.

FYI we just picked up a new domain name:

a-beautifulwedding.com

It made me remember fondly when we developed OUR website
  SanDiegoOfficiant.com back in 2006 ---
but not too long after that

someone here in San Diego purchased this domain name
and made a new website site-

SanDiegoWeddingOfficiant.com
Turns out, that very website was developed
by the "A Beautiful Wedding" folks.

Gee, I wonder if a little customer confusion happened then?

Mmmmmm, we founded a non profit 501c3 in 2011
"Lucky Pup Dog Rescue"
a local dog rescue and have been
doing dog friendly weddings for almost THIRTY YEARS..
here in San Diego and in Seattle.

Check out the article on our blog on Sept 10, 2014 post featuring us in
"A Pet's LIfe" talking about our dog friendly Weddings
Or the article below in the GSDBA magazine that ran several years ago.

People in the community have known us as the "dog wedding people"
for decades....and then out of blue...
the very company that is whining and stomping their
feet about protecting their business interests,
and falling victim to
customer confusion decides to do dog friendly weddings.

Anybody else think it's a bit hypocritical ?

Now if it's okay, with everyone,
I'd  like to get back to rescuing dogs from death row at the shelters
in San Bernardino and doing our

HAPPY,FUN, NO STRESS, RELAXED ELOPE WEDDINGS!

Honestly, this is MOST petty thing I 've seen in decades.
..actually since Junior High School.
Let's all go back to home room and get to work.
