Pauline and Henri traveled from Arizona to elope on dog beach with Steve and I. Rex and Hank their beautiful rotties made the trip and were included in the ceremony. 

We love it when that happens!

~ Run your dog in the morning  or have a friend do it for you 

~ Bring lots of treats

~Remember anything can happen, so if you want everything 

PERFECT, a dog friendly wedding won't be that, or even close!

A worst case scenerio...we had a bride who was pee'd upon by a passing dog...

she was great and didn't mind at all :)

It's worth mentioning that there are other dogs on the beach,
because it's a free place to have your wedding, and it's also a "leash free" area.

  Before we get to that wedding- we have to tell you about what a cool place Best Friends Animals Sanctuary is.   We know first hand because Christine volunteered last fall at their sanctuary in Kanab, Utah

Best Friends in a nutshell:
they are the largest no-kill sanctuary in the United States... and if that's not enough...the DogTown series was filmed live at the sanctuary and shown on the National Geographic Channel, they also fought to save the lives of the dogs that Michael Vick was using in his dog fighting ring and were able to rehabilitate many of them.  Additionally, they were instrumental in the rescue of animals during Katrina...

We really, really REALLY love weddings and elopements on Dog Beach on Coronado. It's a gorgeous off- leash area and we've done quite few elopement ceremonies in that spot.  It's so much fun. The off leash area is about 10 blocks North of The Hotel Del Coronado on Ocean Blvd.  

And as long as we are talking dog...we are pleased to partner with Doug, at DogTown San Diego and support their efforts to share all things dog here in San Diego.  The most exciting project right now is the new license plate campaign that everyone can participate in. 

Here in California too many pets lose their lives just because they simply don't have a home.

  The SNAP project is bringing attention to this huge problem by offering spay and neuter services, education and reaching as many people as possible who may not be able to afford the service.

Check out the new SNAP license plate campaign to support spaying and neutering in California.
